Police in Lowell, Boston working to determine if robberies are connected

BOSTON — Investigators in Lowell and Boston are working to determine if a recent robbery spree is being committed by the same group of people.

“I was very scared,” Mohammed Eudin said.

He was working at the Home Market on Belgrade Avenue in West Roxbury when three men entered about a half hour before closing.

But they weren't customers.

“Three guys came in with a mask and one guy stood there with a gun,” Eudin said. “He showed me a gun and said, ‘Open the register and give me the money.’”

Boston police said the store was among several across the city to be robbed by three suspects over the course of a few days.

But the crime spree may be broader than that.

Surveillance cameras captured images of three identical men who robbed a liquore store in Lowell days earlier.

Soon after airing that report on Boston 25 News, a Lowell pizza shop came forward with more video, claiming the three men robbed that restaurant, too.

Lowell police haven’t said if those incidents are connected, but Boston police said the suspects behind the robberies in the city are like connected to robberies in Everett, Lynn and Lowell.

Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to call police.
