Police find pot in every room during domestic disturbance investigation

SOMERSET, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Officers investigating a domestic disturbance arrested a Somerset man after finding a large scale marijuana growing and cultivation operation inside the home.

Seth Singleton, 42, of 58 Anchor Drive, is charged with assault and battery, possession of marijuana over one ounce, manufacture/possess with intent to distribute a Class D drug (two counts), conspiracy to violate the drug laws, and possession of a firearm without an FID card (four counts).

Officers responded to the residence to investigate a domestic disturbance and immediately noticed an overwhelming smell of marijuana inside the home.

Additionally, officers saw evidence of marijuana in plain view and applied for a search warrant.

Officers executed the search warrant at about 3 a.m. and found large quantities of marijuana in almost every room and in various stages of preparation for distribution. Investigators found numerous pieces of equipment and tools, including special light fixtures and indoor hot grow tents, commonly used in marijuana growing operations.

Police estimate that between 15 to 25 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of approximately $50,000 was seized during the investigation.
