Police, FBI search Manchester home of woman missing 35 years

MANCHESTER, NH — Police all day Tuesday searching a Manchester, New Hampshire home in the hopes of finding clues in the disappearance of woman who went missing 35 years ago.

DENISE BEAUDIN'S DISAPPEARANCE

Denise Beaudin was 23 years old when she went missing in 1981. Her family told police that Denise and her boyfriend, Robert "Bob" Evans, had spent Thanksgiving with family members in Goffstown On Nov. 26.

When Denise's family went to visit her at her Manchester home one week later, Denise and Bob were nowhere to be found. Denise's family said that Denise and Bob had been having financial difficulties at the time, so the family assumed the couple had left to avoid those issues. Neither Denise nor Bob have been seen or heard from since.

Denise had an infant daughter at the time of her disappearance. The daughter did not go missing and Bob Evans has since been located, but limited information is being released.

REOPENING THE INVESTIGATION

Based on new information, a missing person report was generated in late December and Denise was placed into the National Crime Information Center as a missing person. No further information about the case was immediately released.

SEARCHING DENISE'S MANCHESTER HOME

Police began searching Denise's home in Manchester on Tuesday. The search is expected to last several days and is being conducted with assistance from the FBI.

“That's just generally what we are looking for right now, just anything that might be related to her disappearance. The home has never been searched by law enforcement so this is our first time in there,” NH Attorney General Jeff Strelzin said.
