Police: Distracted driver ends up in Nashua River

PEPPERELL, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Rescue crews rushed to the Nashua River in Pepperell Monday after a man became distracted while driving and ended up in the river.

According to police, the man was driving on Canal Street near Main Street when he became distracted and drove off the road into the Nashua River.

The man's window was down, so he was able to get out, police said; however, his car became submerged in about 20 feet of water.

No one was injured in the crash or rescue.
