• Police dashcam video recounts final hours of Jovan Belcher's life


    BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) Two newly released dashboard camera videos posted by Kansas City Police on YouTube Friday show the final hours of Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher's life.

    The first video is of police officers approaching Belcher's car parked outside an apartment building in the early morning hours of Dec. 1. Belcher, who was asleep inside the car, is told to go upstairs.

    Police say Belcher made a phone call and that a woman whom he described as his "girlfriend" who let him into the building a few minutes later.

    The second video was recorded by officers responding to Arrowhead Stadium after receiving a report about a man in the practice facility's parking lot holding a gun.

    During the drive, the officers learn that the man is Belcher.

    The video ends as a police officer is asking other officers to silence their sirens as he approaches Belcher.

    Jovan Belcher is accused of fatally shooting the mother of his child, 22-year-old Kasandra Perkins, before committing suicide inside a parking lot at Arrowhead Stadium in front of team officials.
