MIDDLEBORO, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A head-on, two-car collision involving a Middleboro police cruiser sent three people to the hospital Monday.
According to police, the crash occurred near 400 Wareham St. at about 4:30 p.m.
Police said the police cruiser and 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee collided head-on. The police officer was taken to Jordan Hospital, and the occupants of the other vehicle, a 42-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman, were taken to Rhode Island Hospital in stable condition. They remain hospitalized.
The police officer was released from the hospital Monday night.
The crash is under investigation.
