Police continue search for suspect after Amber Alert canceled in Boston

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A 7-month-old who was the subject of an Amber Alert Friday night has been found, but police continued searching for the boyfriend of the child's mother.

Boston police tweeted the Amber Alert at about 10:30 p.m. Jayden Warren, who was initially identified by police as a boy and later identified as a girl, was found at about 11:30 p.m. and reunited with her mother.

Jayden was believed to be with his mother's boyfriend, 40-year-old Damond Brown, of 444 Harrison Avenue in Boston. Police continued their search for Brown after Jayden was found.

Brown is described as a black man, 6'1" tall, 255 pounds with a muscular build, wearing grey shorts, a grey shirt, and white and green sneakers.

Investigators tell FOX 25 Jayden, her mother, and two other children drove to the Cold Stone Creamery located at 94 Belvidere Street at about 8:30 p.m. with Brown. The mother and two of the children exited the car to go into the ice cream shop and when they came back the car and Jayden were gone. Brown is not Jayden's father and did not have permission to leave with the child.

Mass. State Police say Brown has an active warrant out of Boston District Court for assault and battery, as well as an active default warrant out of Suffolk Superior Court for drug distribution.

Police allege Brown made comments leading them to believe he posed a threat of harm to the child.
