Police chief attempts to arrest man, gets hit with metal chair

MASON, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) – As a police chief attempted to arrest a suspect on drug charges in Mason, N.H., the suspect assaulted the chief with a metal chair.

Around 8:40 p.m. Friday, the police chief stopped a car on Brookline Road in Mason and attempted to arrest Russell N Monbleau, 38, of Fitchburg, Massachusetts on the charge of possession of crack cocaine. Instead of complying, Monbleau struck the chief several times and then hit him over the head with a heavy metal chair. Monbleau then fled into the woods and had not been found as of Saturday night.

The driver of the car, Danielle Dickstein, 34, of Amherst, was arrested at the scene on charges of possession of crack cocaine and possession of marijuana.
