BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) --A man attacked two others based on a dispute they had about waiting in line , according to police reports of an incident outside Coogan's Bar early Sunday.

Just after 12:30 a.m. Sunday, police arrived at the bar to find one man who had been punched in the face and another stabbed. The man who was stabbed was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with serious injuries, according to Boston Police.

38-year-old Peter J. Damelio, of Newton, has been charged with assault and battery using a deadly weapon.

The man who had been punched in the face, whose name has not been released, told police that Damelio and another man tried to enter Coogan's, at 191 Milk St., when the victims told the men they had to wait in line. After heading to the back of the line for a short while, Damelio and the other man appeared by the entrance again, the victim said.

After being denied access to the bar, the man said Damelio became enraged, punched him in the face multiple times, and then pulled out a knife and stabbed the other victim in the torso, according to the victim who was punched.

After the altercation, people told officers that the man fled in a cab, and police later located the man sitting in the back of a cab in Charlestown. Officers seized a knife on the floor by his feet.
