Police: Alarms triggered at Waltham bank, no one found inside

WALTHAM, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Authorities in Waltham are trying to determine what or possibly who triggered several alarms at a bank on Main Street Saturday afternoon.

Officers responded to the People's United Bank of Main Street at about 2:37 p.m. after it was reported the roof hatch alarm had been tripped. Additionally, the alarm company told police the motion sensors inside the bank had been tripped.

A perimeter was set up around the bank and on the roof; however, when officers entered the bank at about 4:30 p.m., no one was found inside.

Investigators are working to determined what triggered the alarms.

An investigation is underway.
