MANCHESTER, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Following a recent rash of burglaries, police in Manchester are asking residents and business owners to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity in the area.
From July 1 to July 7, police have investigated 30 reported burglaries at various locations throughout the city.
Five of the reported burglaries occurred at local Manchester businesses, generally occurring during the overnight hours. The remaining 25 burglaries occurred at residences, more frequently in the densely populated neighborhoods on both sides of the river.
While some burglars have targeted occupied homes at night, more commonly these residences are victimized during the day or at other times when people are not at home.
Officers are working to reduce the number of burglaries in the area. Residents can also take pro-active steps to make their homes more secure. Visit www.manchesterpd.com for tips.
