Three teens shot in Roxbury

BOSTON — Three people were taken to the hospital after a shooting in Roxbury Monday night.

A 14-year-old girl, a 17-year-old boy and a 19-year-old girl were all shot at Charlame Park apartments.

Police say they were called to Humboldt Avenue for a report of a shooting and paramedics found the three victims with gunshot wounds -- one of them with serious injuries.

Kiera Harrison, 14, was one of the victims, according to her aunt Kimberly Harrison. Kimberly said Kiera has a broken arm and a broken leg, and was watching fireworks when the shooting happened.

Harrison was  taken to Children's Hospital and underwent surgery Tuesday.

Harrison said Kiera, also known as Kiki, was with a 19-year-old friend at the apartment complex to watch the fireworks when the shooting happened.

Police said they do believe the shooting was targeted, but Harrison said it's clear that KiKi was an innocent bystander.

"Hopefully they find out who did this because these are teenagers/you know looking forward to summer jobs, looking forward to going back to school, you know, what teenagers are supposed to be doing." said Harrison.

A large part of the neighborhood to investigate. At least a dozen police officers canvassed the area around Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard at Humboldt Avenue. The police was still looking for the suspect.
