Police: 29 minors found with beer, drugs in Wrentham motel room

WRENTHAM (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Police arrested 31 partygoers, 29 of which were minors, early Saturday morning for an underage drinking party that reportedly occurred at the Arbor Inn on Route 1 in Wrentham.

Police responded to the hotel located at 900 Washington St. for a noise complaint and found 31 people, all from out of town, in a single room with a large amount of beer containers and liquor bottles, police told The Sun Chronicle.

Along with the alcohol, police found a table with ping pong balls for beer pong, marijuana paraphernalia, and a small amount of marijuana.

The minors, aside from four juveniles, were taken to the police department. They are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

Marc McLaughlin, 21, of Raynham, and Alyssa Payznot, 22, of Brockton, are facing an additional charge of furnishing alcohol to minors. McLaughlin reported rented the room.

The arrests mark the second time in two weeks authorities have broken up a large-scale underage drinking party. Nine teens were arrested at an Attleboro house party on Jan. 12, reports the newspaper.
