Police: 2-year-old found playing near white powder believed to be narcotics

HOOKSETT, N.H. – Police in Hooksett have arrested two people after they responded to a motel and found a 2-year-old playing near a white powder believed to be narcotics.

Jeanne Call, 20, of Manchester and Gregoris Vidal Soto, 28, of Boston were arrested Wednesday morning at the Firebird Motel.

Both are charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Vidal Soto is also charged with possession of a narcotic drug. Police said Vidal Soto is not in the United States legally, and is in the process of being removed by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement.

The child has been taken into Division of Children, Youth and Families custody. Vidal Soto was set to appear in court Thursday, Call was released on $2,000 bail with a trial set for April 26.
