Pit bull attacks, leaves another dog dead and one man hurt

LOWELL, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A pit bull attacked in Lowell, killing another dog and leaving one man hurt.

According to the Lowell Sun, Animal Control was called to 13 Crane St. The pit bull was brought into the home by a visitor, then killed the family's dog.

The dog then trapped a woman inside with her 10-month-old baby. Several men reportedly tried to keep the dog away with sticks and chairs, but one man was bitten. The dog's owner reportedly ran away.
    
Animal Control says the pit bull was captured and will be quarantined.
    
Police are now looking for the dog's owner.
