Pharmacist's license suspended after pills go missing

CONCORD, N.H. (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) — The New Hampshire Board of Pharmacy has suspended a pharmacy technician's registration after hundreds of pills went missing.

The registration of Aaron M. Dransfield, of Pembroke, N.H., was suspended on Sept. 28, Michael A. Delaney, Attorney General has announced.

Dransfield had been working as a pharmacy technician at a Rite Aid in Concord, N.H. The Board's action is in response to Dransfield's admission that he stole eight o 12 alprozalam tablets for his personal use. Rite-Aid has reported the loss of hundreds of lorazepam, diazepam, and alprozalam pills.

A Board hearing is scheduled at 8 a.m. Thursday to determine whether Dransfield's registration will remain suspended during the course of the on-going investigation.
