PEABODY, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com/AP) - Authorities say a PF Chang's employee was stabbed to death in the restaurant's kitchen during the dinner rush and a co-worker has been charged with his murder.
Officials say 23-year-old Jaquan Huston fatally stabbed 38-year-old Elivelton Dias, of Salem, in the back and then fled the scene.
The stabbing happened at PF Chang's in the Northshore Mall in Peabody.
An Essex County district attorney spokeswoman said a 911 call was placed at 5:41 p.m. on Saturday. The victim was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. Huston was stopped by Salem police and charged with first-degree murder.
FOX25 spoke with the Huston's mother, who said her son had only been working as a cook at PF Chang's for about a month. She said her son has anger issues and was supposed to be seeing a therapist starting next week.
Huston is scheduled for arraignment Monday morning.
