Performers for President Obama's Jan. 21 Inauguration announced

WASHINGTON, D.C. (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) A local favorite is among the three singers scheduled to perform at the 57th Presidential Inauguration.

Boston-born musician James Taylor will join Kelly Clarkson and Beyonce at President Barack Obama's Inaugural ceremony.

Taylor will sing "America the Beautiful," Kelly Clarkson will perform "My Country Tis of Thee," and Beyonce will sing the National Anthem.

The Inauguration will kick off a busy few weeks for Beyonce, who will be performing during the Super Bowl halftime show just two weeks later.

The president was involved in selecting the musical performers and other ceremonial participants. Some of the other participants include Richard Blanco, who will serve as the Inaugural poet, Reverend Louie Giglio, who will deliver the Benediction, and Myrlie Evers-Williams, who will give the invocation.

The Inauguration will be held on the West Front of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 21.
