Pedestrian struck and killed in Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – An East Boston man was struck and killed Wednesday morning in Cambridge.

The incident occurred at 40 Land Boulevard near the Royal Sonesta Hotel at about 5:12 a.m. The victim was taken by ambulance to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The pedestrian has been identified as 67-year-old Conrado Medina.

The driver, a 40-year-old Cambridge man operating a 2006 Hyundai Sonata, did stop and several witnesses are being questioned.

State police said the investigation is ongoing to determine if criminal charges are warranted.
