Pedestrian killed after being hit by car in Leominster

LEOMINSTER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A man was killed Tuesday night after being hit by a car on Route 13.

The man, who was standing in the northbound lane of the road wearing dark clothing, was hit at around 11:30 p.m. at 1045 Main St. in North Leominster.

Kelly Hall-Daigenault, a 35-year-old Lunenburg resident was driving a Kia Sedona in the northbound lane with her 9-year-old child when the car struck Jason Kearchner, 25, who lived at 663 Main St. in Leominster, according to a spokesman from the Worcester District Attorney's office.

Emergency responders rushed Kearchner to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. Hall and her child were unharmed.

Police are investigating the incident. The DA's office has not filed any criminal charges against Hall-Daigenault.
