Peabody man dies in crash; driver charged with OUI

PEABODY, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A Peabody man is facing several charges after his car slammed into a parked flatbed truck overnight in Peabody, killing his passenger.

The crash happened at about 12:30 a.m. on Walnut Street.  Crews had to use the Jaws of Life to rescue the driver, 37-year-old Michael Fowler, and his passenger, 31-year-old Daniel Walker, of Peabody.

Fowler is charged with Felony Motor Vehicle Homicide while OUI, negligent operation, OUI 2nd offense, and leaving the scene with personal injury with death resulting charges. He is scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Peabody District Court.
