PEABODY, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A 24-year-old Peabody man was arrested on domestic violence charges by Nashua police Thursday.
Police said a female known to Michael Vinagro reported to the Nashua Police Department on August 13 that Vinagro had assaulted her during the morning of August 11 at a home in Nashua.
An investigation determined that Vinagro strangled the victim and punched her several times, according to police. The investigation also revealed Vinagro assaulted another female known to him around the same time. An arrest warrant was then issued by the 9th Circuit - District Division – Nashua.
Vinagro is charged with domestic violence, second-degree assault, and simple assault. He waived extradition to New Hampshire.
Vinagro was scheduled to be arraigned Friday. No other details have been released by police.
