Patriots nearing 9th division title in 10 years

FOXBOROUGH (AP) - The New England Patriots aren't focusing on how a win on Sunday would clinch their ninth division title in 10 years. They just want to beat Miami.

Defensive tackle Vince Wilfork says the Patriots are concentrating on what they have to do against the Dolphins.

New England (8-3) has won five consecutive games and would clinch its fourth straight AFC East championship with a win at Miami (5-6). But a division title doesn't guarantee playoff success. The Patriots lost last season's Super Bowl to the New York Giants and were eliminated in the first round the previous two seasons.

The Patriots have the third best record in the AFC behind the Houston Texans (10-1) and the Baltimore Ravens (9-2). The top two teams in each conference get first-round byes.
