FALL RIVER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- New information was released Friday regarding text messages sent between former Patriot Aaron Hernandez and Patriots Coach Bill Belichick.
A list of evidence in the Odin Lloyd murder case was released last week and one item on that list cited "33 pages of text message between the coach and the former Patriot."
However, an attorney for the Patriots said it was not 33 full pages of texts but rather 34 text messages, spanning a period of 5 months.
Andrew Phelan, a partner at Bingham McCutcheon, released the following statement Friday:
"Earlier this week, a report indicated that an exchange of text messages between the team's head coach and Mr. Hernandez totaled 33 pages. While it is unknown how the texts were printed or displayed, I thought it was important to clarify that during an early investigation conducted by state prosecutors, the team produced a total of 34 text messages (not pages of texts) spanning a period of five months (December 2012 â April 2013) between the head coach and Mr. Hernandez."
The messages been handed over as evidence in one of the three murder cases against Hernandez.
