Passerby rescues driver in Avon car fire

AVON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A passerby rushed to the aid of a driver inside one of two cars that caught fire following a crash in Avon Friday morning.

The crash happened on Harrison Boulevard. Police said it appeared that one car crashed into another, pushing both off the road. A photo sent to FOX 25 by a viewer showed both cars completely engulfed in flames.

Three people, two in the first car and one in the second, were involved in the crash. A bystander who refused to give his name to police broke the window of the second car to pull out the driver.

Both the driver of the second car and one of the people in the first car were transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
