Passengers injured when MBTA trolley derails, crashes

(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - The Green Line is back up and running after two trains collided, sending an operator and passengers to the hospital.

It happened Tuesday around 4 p.m. on the E Line between the Brigham Circle and Longwood Medical area stops.
    
An MBTA spokesperson told FOX 25 the crash was the result of human error.

Trolleys are moved from one track to another and a manual switch was not correctly set. An inbound trolley collided with an outbound trolley.
       
Two passengers and a car operator were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
