Paddleboarder catches close encounter with whale on video

SEABROOK, N.H. — Mike Lamagna was out fishing on his paddleboard when he saw a whale headed in his direction.

He decided to get closer and headed towards it as he was casting with his fly rod.

That's when he got a close-up look at the 25-foot baby humpback whale that was in the water.

Luckily, he was wearing his GoPro when it swam by and he caught the footage on video.

Lamagna shared the video online, proof of his incredible experience.
