Outpouring of support for fiancee of Ft. Hood shooting victim

HOLBROOK, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The town of Holbrook showed their support for a resident whose fiancee was killed in the shooting at Fort Hood.

Sgt. 1st Class Danny Ferguson sacrificed his life to save fellow soldiers. The 39-year-old blocked an unlocked door to prevent shooter Ivan Lopez from gunning down a room full of his colleagues.

Ferguson's fiancee, Kristen Haley, returned to Holbrook Sunday for the first time since the massacre. Dozens of people lined the sidewalks as she and her family drove through the streets.

The entire rally spread by word of mouth and came as a complete surprise to Haley and her family.

Haley and Ferguson got engaged over this past Christmas.
