OSSIPEE, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) - A 19-year-old Ossipee man was charged with assaulting his girlfriend's nine-month-old daughter during a domestic dispute Friday.
According to the New Hampshire Union Leader, Kurt Whiting was charged with felony second-degree assault, as well as simple assault and criminal threatening, for assaulting the baby and the baby's mother. He was arraigned Monday morning and held on $2,500 cash and $2,500 corporate surety bail.
Police responded to Heron Place around 10:40 p.m. for a report of a domestic disturbance. The victim told police Whiting squeezed the baby's head during an argument and kicked her several times.
The baby was taken to an area hospital where she was checked out and released, reports the newspaper.
