BILLERICA, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- An unidentified man died Monday after he was hit by an MBTA Commuter Rail train in Billerica.
MBTA officials tell FOX 25 the man was hit by an outbound train in the area of Pond Street just before 10 a.m. The man, who is described as white and in his twenties, died as a result of his injuries.
The train was carrying approximately 26 passengers at the time.
Delays were expected on the Lowell line as a result of the fatality. A shuttle bus to Wilmington was brought in for commuters.
