On the eve of the first presidential debate, video adds twist

(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - On eve of the first presidential debate, an old video has resurfaced which The Daily Caller says adds a new twist.

The online publication accused then Sen. Barack Obama of using racially charged rhetoric during a 2007 speech at Hampton University in Virginia.

FOX News' Sean Hannity showed clips of the video on his show Tuesday night.

President Obama, then running in the presidential primary, describes his former pastor, Reverend Jeremiah Wright, "as a friend and a great leader."

Obama was critical of the government's response to victims of Hurricane Katrina as well, saying the people down in New Orleans, "they don't care about as much."

This news all comes as presidential candidate Mitt Romney trails in the polls.

On Wednesday, FOX 25 will be streaming the Presidential debate in Colorado live on myfoxboston.com.
