Officials investigate E. coli outbreak in Wellesley

WELLESLEY, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Health officials are investigating an E. coli outbreak in Wellesley.

The town's public health director believes three adults have been infected. At least one has been hospitalized. Health officials said they are not related.

There have been no reports of cases in other surrounding towns.

According to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, E. coli consists of germs that normally live in the bowel of people and animals.
