Officer crashes cruiser responding to Arlington bank robbery

ARLINGTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A police officer crashed his cruiser while responding to a bank robbery Thursday morning in Arlington.

The hold-up happened around 9:45 a.m. at the Citizens Bank at 1420 Massachusetts Ave. A gun was not shown. SKYFOX was over the scene.

Police said the money contained an exploding dye pack.
 
The suspect was wearing a mask during the robbery. He remains at large and police are still looking for him.

The police officer's injuries are not life-threatening.
