Police are investigating after nude photos of students at Shrewsbury High School surfaced on the Internet.
Sources tell FOX 25 that the photos were of high school girls from all grade levels.
In a statement to FOX 25, Shrewsbury Public School officials say the situation appears to be the result of actions taken outside of school. For that reason, their main concern at this time is giving support to the students and minimizing any potential impact on the educational environment. School officials have been in contact with law enforcement regarding the incident.
One student tells FOX 25 that the images are likely the result of sexting. Girls would send the images to a friend who then shared with others.
Shrewsbury Police tell FOX 25 they are investigating the postings.
