• Norton man dies after crash with snow plow truck

NORTON, Mass. (AP) - Police say a 50-year-old Norton man has died after his car veered into a city snow plow truck.

Norton Lt. Todd Jackson said in a statement that William Lozeau was driving westbound on West Main Street near the Norton Middle School Tuesday afternoon when his car struck the eastbound plow truck.

Jackson said Norton firefighter Robert Crowley was clearing snow from nearby fire hydrants nearby and tried to help Lozeau. Lozeau was taken to Sturdy Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The plow truck driver, 48-year-old George Guptill of Cumberland, R.I., was evaluated at the hospital. Jackson said he was not cited in the crash.

Norton and state police are investigating.
