Northeast dubbed the rudest part of country

(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – This might not come as a surprise to those of us who live here: the Northeast has been dubbed the rudest part of the country.

The Ukrainian company Vertaline tracked how often people in certain areas tweeted "good morning" versus curse words to determine whether a city is the friendliest or the rudest.

The greater the use of each term, the darker the coloring on the heat-intensity map, with red indicating the heaviest usage.

The greener the area, the friendlier the people. The red areas indicate the city is the rudest.

So where do the nicest people live? No surprise here, the south ranks high with Texas coming out on top.
