North Oxford man killed in hit and run after bar fight in Leominster

LEOMINSTER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Mass. State and Leominster police are searching for a driver who fled the scene of a fatal hit and run Saturday.

Investigators say David M. Szafarowicz, 33, of North Oxford, was hit outside the Captain's Lounge on Main Street in Leominster at about 1 a.m. Saturday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Szafarowicz was reportedly hit after a fight inside the lounge, which investigators say also included the driver.

Investigators are looking for the driver of a dark-colored Jeep Commander that sped away from the scene. Anyone with information is asked to call the Worcester County District Attorney's office at 508-832-9124.
