Norovirus sickens 25 at Spaulding Rehab

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital is dealing with a norovirus outbreak.

The Boston Globe reports 25 people have fallen ill since the severe stomach bug broke out at the hospital Tuesday.

In just 24 hours, several patients and staff members came down with symptoms.

Visitors are now required to wash their hands as they enter the facility. Nurses are also being told to wear a mask when dealing with sick patients.

The state Department of Health said they are aware of the outbreak and have advised workers to stay away from the hospital until their symptoms are gone.
