No injuries in 3-alarm fire in Leominster

LEOMINSTER, Mass. — Crews in Leominster worked to extinguish a large fire that broke out early Friday morning.

Fire crews said they saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the Pleasant Place building when they arrived at the scene and quickly raised the fire to three alarms.

No injuries were reported to anyone inside the building, but the structure did suffer heavy damage because of the fire.

Fire officials said an adjacent building also received damage from the fire.

It's unknown what sparked the blaze and the incident remains under investigation.
