NH woman arrested for reportedly firing gun during road rage incident

MANCHESTER, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A 25-year-old New Hampshire woman was arrested for firing a gun into the air following a car crash that occurred in Manchester early Sunday morning, police said.

Police responded to the area of South Willow Street for a report of a road rage incident where a gun was discharged at about 12:53 a.m.

The driver who reported the accident told police that the female driver of the other vehicle had fired a gun into the air and pointed the gun at him and his two passengers.

Police said the crash occurred on South Willow Street just north of Weston Road. The female driver did not stop after the collision and instead continued north down several other streets.

The driver of the other vehicle was reportedly following the female's car when she slowed down and pointed a gun out the window. She fired a shot into the air then pointed the gun at the other driver's vehicle and its three occupants, police said.

The victim continued to follow the female driver at a safe distance before losing her; however, police spotted the suspect vehicle on South Willow Street near the Mall of New Hampshire and stopped the car.

The driver was identified as Jessica McGratty, of Concord, N.H. She was found in possession of a .38 caliber revolver with one spent casing and 4 bullets in the five shot chamber. She has been charged with reckless conduct, three counts of criminal threatening, and conduct following the accident.
