MANCHESTER, NH (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A 20-year-old New Hampshire woman is being held on $50,000 bail amid allegations that she recorded herself sexually assaulting a 3-year-old.
Erin Upham, of Manchester, N.H., was arrested Thursday on charges of aggravated felonious sexual assault, manufacturing of child sexual abuse images, and distribution of child sexual abuse images.
Upham is accused of exchanging sexually explicit images of the 3-year-old victim via an Internet video chat with a 21-year-old member of the U.S. Air Force stationed in Japan. The exchange of images was brought to the attention of Manchester police by special agents in the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations on April 9.
Manchester detectives allege Upham recorded digital images in which she was engaged in sexual contact with the child. They claim Upham then transferred those images to the service member on Skype.
The service member is under investigation by the Air Force Office of Special Investigations. There is no word on what punishment or charges he could face as a result of the investigation.
