NH teen was reportedly texting prior to fatal two-car crash

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — Police in Concord, N.H., have arrested a man in connection with the October traffic accident deaths of a man and a 7-year-old girl.

Police said the two died of injuries suffered in a two-car crash on Oct. 19 near the entrance to Interstate 89.

Killed were one of the drivers, 31-year-old Jesse Wolf Concord, and his 7-year-old passenger, Kyara Mailhot of Manchester.

Police said the other driver in the crash, 17-year-old Jacob Veroneau of Concord, was arrested on a charge of falsifying physical evidence.

Police had issued a warrant for Veroneau, who was accused of deleting text messages from his cellphone from that time. They said he turned himself into police on Monday and is scheduled to be arraigned May 6.
