• NH sex assault suspect at large


    WEARE, N.H. (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Police are searching for a 22-year-old Groveland man accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old female at her New Hampshire residence on Tuesday.

    Police in Weare responded to Old Town Road around 9:20 p.m. after a female called to report that she had just been the victim of a sexual assault. Upon arrival, the teen was taken to a local hospital for treatment, and police began their investigation.

    A preliminary investigation revealed that Jonathan Maguire, of Groveland, Mass., had assaulted the victim and then left in her vehicle. Maguire is believed to be driving a 2003 black Jeep Liberty with New Hampshire registration 2103374.

    A warrant has been signed charging Maguire with second-degree assault, simple assault, obstructing report of a crime, criminal mischief, and attempt to commit sexual assault.

    Additional charges are pending further investigation.

    Maguire was last seen wearing jeans, sneakers, and no shirt. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
