NH police investigate fatal shooting in Manchester

MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — Police in New Hampshire are investigating a late-night fatal shooting in a residential neighborhood in Manchester.

Officials say police responded to a report of a shooting at about 11 p.m. Saturday in the vicinity of Pine and Prospect streets, where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital, where he later died.

New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph Foster and Manchester Police Chief David Mara said in a press release that an autopsy is scheduled for Monday to determine the cause and manner of death. The victim's identity has is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Police are seeking help from anyone who has information about the shooting. No arrests have been made.
