NH man reportedly chokes wheelchair-bound grandfather

LACONIA, N.H. (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A 20-year-old New Hampshire man was arrested Saturday after he reportedly destroyed several items inside a Laconia residence and choked his wheelchair-bound grandfather.

Zackary Corbin was charged with second degree assault, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, and obstructing report of crime or injury. He was taken into police custody at 38 Taylor Street around 12:59 p.m.

According to police, Corbin destroyed several items inside the home and choked his grandfather when he tried to call the police for help. Corbin ran from the house, but later returned when police were still at the scene obtaining statements.

Corbin reportedly fought with the officers when he was being placed into custody. He refused bail and is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday.
