PLAISTOW, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A man accused of beating and burning his girlfriend's 3-year-old son has been indicted.
Roland Dow, 27, was indicted by a grand jury on a charge of first-degree assault.
Authorities say Dow and the child's mother, 23-year-old Jessica Linscott, took off to Florida after dropping the boy off at a New Hampshire hospital with bruises and burns in November. The pair was arrested at Universal Studios.
Dow is accused of beating and burning the boy so severely that he suffered a traumatic brain injury. He was previously charged with first- and second-degree assault in the case.
Linscott has pleaded guilty to witness tampering and endangering the welfare of a child.
