NH man charged with assaulting infant

RAYMOND, N.H. (AP) — Police in Raymond, N.H., say a 26-year-old man is facing charges of assaulting an infant less than a year old.

Police say they received reports that an infant about 2 months old had received injuries in recent weeks. An examination of the baby at the Exeter Hospital showed that the child had suffered multiple fractures.

The baby is not being identified, but police say the child was injured in a Raymond residence over the past several weeks.

Cavan G. Moore of Raymond faces three counts second degree assault on a victim less than a year old. He's being held on $25,000 cash bail pending an arraignment in the Candia Circuit Court.
