NH man charged with aggravated DWI following Milford crash

MILFORD, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A New Hampshire man seriously injured in a single car crash that occurred in the area of 41 Joslin Rd. in Milford Tuesday night has been charged with aggravated DWI, police said.

Michael A. Briand, 43, of New Boston, N.H. had to be extricated from his car at about 8:48 p.m. after he lost control and crashed into a tree coming to rest on a rock wall.

Briand was initially transported to St. Joseph's Hospital in Nashua, N.H., but due to the seriousness of his injuries was transported to LaHey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington, Mass.

Briand is charged with aggravated DWI, a class B felony, and will be scheduled to appear in the Milford District Court at a later date.

Police believe alcohol and speed were factors in this crash, and continue to investigate.
