NH man arrested for allegedly assaulting young child

NASHUA, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A New Hampshire man has been charged with second degree assault after he allegedly injured a child under the age of 13.

Garrett McCormack, 26, of Nashua, was arrested Wednesday after officers responded to a residence on Whitney Street to check on the welfare of a child who had sustained bodily injury.

Following an investigation, officers identified McCormack as the suspect and placed him under arrest.

Police did not release details on how, if at all, McCormack knew the child.

McCormack is being held on $10,000 cash bail pending arraignment Friday.
