N.H. man accused of sexually assaulting young girl

NASHUA, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A 22-year-old New Hampshire man was arrested Thursday amid allegations that he sexually assaulted a young girl.

Samuel Mortimer, of Nashua, is charged with one count of felonious sexual assault, 9 counts of simple assault, and one count of false imprisonment.

Mortimer's arrest comes as the result of an investigation into an alleged sexual assault that took place on Dec. 30, 2013.

The 22-year-old is accused of sexually assaulting and inappropriately touching a girl under the age of 13 in Nashua. He is also accused of locking her in a room and not allowing her to leave.

Mortimer reportedly knew the victim prior to the alleged assault. He was scheduled to be arraigned Friday.
